Matthew Kafafian joined the UNO SCCJ as an Assistant Professor in Fall 2023.
Research Interests
Matthew Kafafian's research interests primarily focus on human trafficking, victimization, criminological theory, and international and comparative research.
He is a member of the Institute of Race and Justice where he previously has served as one of the primary research assistants on a National Institute of Justice-funded project which focused on better understanding law enforcement’s response to and identification of human trafficking victims.
Currently, he serves as a primary research assistant on a project aiming to better understand youth at high risk of sex trafficking.
