Valeria Torres-Rivera, MS, is a doctoral student in the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a research assistant in the Victimology and Victim Studies Research Lab. She earned her master’s in criminology and criminal justice from the University of Texas at El Paso. Her current research interests include interpersonal violence, intimate partner violence, human trafficking, and corrections and the collateral consequences of incarceration.
