Online Learning
As an online student, you are an important member of our campus and our Bachelor of Multidisciplinary Studies (BMS) degree program. The BMS degree program features more than 50 areas of concentration, 12 of which can be completed entirely online. Other areas can be completed through a mixture of online and in-class coursework.
Benefits of Online Learning
Flexibility
Online learning gives you the flexibility to complete your coursework wherever it is convenient for you. You aren't tied to specific class times, although you will be required to submit assignments in a certain timeframe. Log in and complete your coursework during the time of day that's best for you.
Quality
As part of its online course offerings, UNO provides live streaming audio and video; recorded audio and video; mobile applications; and online labs.
UNO’s BMS (formerly BGS) degree was first offered in 1951; the program began offering distance education courses in 1997 and an entirely online degree in 2007.
Student Support
Online students at UNO have access to the same student services available to on-campus students. All of UNO’s online students have full access to a team of professional academic advisors who provide guidance and support. Academic advising is available online, over the phone and on campus.
