Make a Valentine for an Older Adult!
The Department of Gerontology will be delivering Valentine cards to residents of local nursing homes again in 2025, and we need your help!
Make someone's day by crafting a Valentine for an aging adult. Please make a valentine or two (or twenty!) and bring them to CPACS 211 by Friday, February 7. We will take care of delivering them to local nursing homes.
This is a fun and easy way to share some love! Spread the word and invite your friends and family to join you in making cards!
Please consider the following guidelines when making your cards:
- Make Valentines personalized rather than producing multiple copies of identical cards
- 8.5X11" is a perfect size, preferably made by hand
- Avoid complex designs or images
- Avoid religious symbols
- Keep the messages simple – just the fact that someone thought to make them a Valentine card means a lot to the recipients!
