Alumni Update
Alesia grew up in Birmingham, AL, where she was one of ten children raised by outstanding and hardworking parents. She is blessed to be supported by her loving and supportive husband and daughter.Alesia is a proud HBCU graduate of Tuskegee University, where she obtained her B.S. in Accounting. Much later, in 2016 she received her M.S. in Urban Studies from University of Nebraska-Omaha. She currently serves as Senior National Training Consultant for Boy Town in Omaha NE. This position involves developing and training workshops, traveling and providing consultation to educators and administrators in urban, rural, and suburban school districts throughout the U.S.
In addition to her current job, Alesia is a life-time certified Poverty Trainer and community advocate. Alesia has presented at local, regional, and national conferences, as well as co-authored several books for teens and tweens. She enjoys: spending quality time with family and friends, travel, reading, tennis, good music, and college football.
