Ayanna Boykins serves as the Economic Inclusion and Workforce Development Administrator for the Omaha Public Schools (OPS) – leading economic inclusion initiatives, cultivating and engaging community partnerships and facilitating work-based learning opportunities. Prior to joining OPS in April of 2020, Ayanna served as the Education Director for the ADL Plains States Region, Omaha Community Foundation Director of Community Investment, and the Career Services Coordinator for Metropolitan Community College. With cross-sector experience in the nonprofit and higher education sectors, her responsibilities spanned managing discretionary grant programs, organizational initiatives, and developing experiential learning opportunities.Ayanna is actively involved with numerous nonprofits some of which includes serving on the board of directors for Nebraska Writers Collective and Policy Research and Innovation (PRI), and is a member of the Leadership Omaha Curriculum Committee. Her commitment to community and leadership earned her the privilege of being inducted into the Omaha Northwest High School Hall of Fame, selected to participate in the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce Leadership Omaha Class 28, and honored as a Ten Outstanding Young Omahans (TOYO) recipient through the Omaha Jaycees. Ms. Boykins holds a B.S. in Education (Art K -12) from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and a M.S. in Urban Studies from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
