Dr. Xie is an assistant professor in the Department of Political Science and Criminal Justice at West Texas A&M University (Canyon, TX). Her research focuses on nonprofit accountability and civil society. Her dissertation investigates the accountability construction by environmental nonprofit organizations in China. Dr. Xie is an active member of the Association for Research on Nonprofit Organizations and Voluntary Action and the International Society of Third-Sector Research.
Before starting the doctoral program of Public Administration at UNO, Dr. Xie was a researcher at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, where she spent more than ten years doing research in intercultural communication.
