About Hillary Nather-Detisch
Hillary is the Executive Director of the Samuel Bak Museum and Academic Learning Center at UNO. She has over 22 years of experience professionally fundraising and grant making for various organizations in the Omaha community, including some of the largest campaigns and projects.
Hillary is committed to giving back to the community and has served on numerous nonprofit boards and committees. Currently, she is active on the board of Filmstreams and Launch Leadership. She also serves as an adjunct faculty for the UNO College of Public Affairs and Community Service.
Hillary is a graduate of Omaha North High School. She earned a BA in Political Science from San Francisco State University, participated in the Museum Studies Certificate Program from Harvard University, and earned a Master of Public Administration in nonprofit management from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
She also attended the U.S. Coast Guard Academy which allowed her numerous traveling opportunities throughout the world.
In 2008, she received her national Certification in Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) credential. Hillary was a 2002 Ten Outstanding Young Omahan recipient, a graduate of Leadership Omaha Class 28, 2009 Conference for Inclusive Communities Volunteer of the Year, and the 2021 AFP Nebraska Fundraiser of the Year.
Hillary re-located back to Omaha in June 2000 from the east coast, and currently resides in the Dundee area with her husband and three daughters.
