Education
Reyna is a doctoral candidate and instructor in the School of Public Administration (SPA). She earned a master's degree in political science with a concentration in international affairs at UNO and a bachelor's degree in communication sciences. Reyna has worked for three levels of government in Mexico. Her public service focused on international affairs, migration, and information & strategy. During the pandemic in 2020-2021, she worked with the Douglas County Health Department, assisting the Spanish-speaking community in the county. She has contributed to research projects on social equity, disaster preparedness, COVID-19 in Kenya, and Latinos/as in Nebraska. Currently, Reyna is completing her dissertation focused on women and their influence on climate change policy in Latin America.
Teaching Interests
Her teaching experience includes undergraduate courses at UNO, such as Strategic Planning, Introduction to Emergency Management, and Organization Theory & Behavior in the MPA program.Research Interests
