Biography
Dr. Sung is an associate professor at the Graduate School of Public Policy and Information Technology, Seoul National University of Science and Technology. His major is Public Administration, and he received his master's and doctoral degrees from the Graduate School of Public Administration, Seoul National University, in Korea.
He is interested in explaining the impact of the development of information and communication technology on the public sector, market, and society through policy theory and policy analysis methods. In the process, in particular, he studies policies for a sustainable intelligent information society by considering both the positive and negative aspects of the digital society.
Accordingly, his research topics include digital technology strategies and policies such as big data, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, block chain, and metaverse based on traditional topics such as e-government, IT industry policy, and information policy. Recent research topics include digital transformation and government innovation, smart cities and local governance, opportunities and risks of artificial intelligence, evidence-based policy making, digital technology and human behavior.
