Biography
Dr. Circo has procured more than $3 million in grant funding from federal, state, and local agencies and organizations. She developed the online MSW program for Northcentral University and served as the inaugural Director for the MSW program. At the Grace Abbott School of Social Work, she developed the online MSW program and successfully took the program through accreditation with the Council on Social Work Education.
Teaching Interests
Program and service development, program evaluation and review, mentoring students in practicum.
Research Interests
Workplace bullying, bullying in academia, developing services and programs for individuals with developmental disabilities and intellectual impairments.
Service Summary
Elected to the UNO Faculty Senate, elected as chair of the Academic and Curricular Affairs committee, elected as Vice President of the Faculty Senate. Elected to the NOVA Execute Board of Directors, serving as Vice President and President of the Board for NOVA Treatment Community, Omaha, Ne. Co-facilitated a Support Group for parents of adult children with Down syndrome, Co-facilitate an online Support Group for parents of adult children with intellectual impairments and developmental disabilities, Omaha Ne.
