Biography
Dr. Laurel Sariscsany is an Assistant Professor in the Grace Abbott School of Social Work. Previously, she was a Postdoctoral Scholar at the Columbia Population Research Center at Columbia University. She received a BSW at UNO, her MSW at Washington University in St. Louis, and her PhD in Social Work at the Columbia School of Social Work. In addition to her academic experience, Dr. Sariscsany has worked as a social worker for a variety of organizations in Nebraska including OpenSky Policy Institute, Family Housing Advisory Services, Voice for Children in Nebraska, and Mosaic.
Research Interests
financial stability of low-income families with a focus on vulnerable populations.
