Student Spotlight Award
Each semester, the Grace Abbott School of Social Work formally recognizes at least one student from each program level: BSSW, MSW Foundation, and MSW Advanced Standing. The official title of this recognition is the “GASSW Student Spotlight Award.” Nominations are accepted each semester; they should be fun and take very little time! These spotlight awards are a way to bring celebration and support to a student who stands out in some particular way. Perhaps they are continually engaged and motivated in class; they go above and beyond in service activities or assignments; exceed expectations in practicum or general interactions with peers/colleagues/instructors. Selected students receive a swag bag filled with GASSW branded items and a personalized award certificate signed by their program coordinator and our Director. Additionally, they will be featured in the CPACS newsletter, CPCAS electronic displays, and our social media.
