Volunteer Needs and Opportunities
Community Requests
Community organizations can submit a request to promote volunteer opportunities to UNO students through this online form.
We will do our best to promote these opportunities throughout campus, starting with an email to UNO students. As appropriate, they will also be published on different digital boards on campus and in the "Community Volunteer Opportunities," as shown below.
Volunteer Programming and Events
UNO Volunteer and Civic Engagement Programs (VCE) develops consistent and intentional Volunteer and Civic Engagement programming - connecting UNO’s campus and diverse student body to meaningful opportunities to serve the Omaha community and engage in its civic life.

Internships Across Campus
Internships provide real-world experience to those looking to explore or gain the relevant knowledge and skills required to enter into a particular career field.
Internships and Community Engagement
Internships happen all the time within the area of community engagement. For example, you can intern with a nonprofit or community organization that adds to your career goals and benefits the community organization or those people the organization serves.
