Giving Tuesday
Nov. 29 is #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving that celebrates charitable contributions to nonprofits, fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Help Hunger Free Heartland (HFH) continue to work across the state of Nebraska and ensure that every child’s most basic need is met.
The organization's campaign, “Hunger Free Holidays,” will begin Dec. 7, and run to Dec. 31.
Nebraska is ranked as the 31st hungriest state for children, as 1 in 5 are considered food insecure. Imagine for a moment being expected to perform all your normal daily activities, and only eating one meal throughout the whole day. Would you be able to function at your best? Would you be able to process information clearly? Childhood food insecurity is solvable, and Hunger Free Heartland asks the community to join them in guaranteeing that no child struggles with food access.

About Hunger Free Heartland
Hunger Free Heartland (HFH) is a building partner organization housed in the Weitz CEC. As a collective impact nonprofit, HFH brings organizations together to address the root cause of childhood food insecurity, with a purpose to educate, advocate, and build capacity in Nebraska. The ultimate goal, to END childhood food insecurity by working together with the government, schools, our community, and faith based organizations. Building relationships across these divisions is the key to making this change.
HFH organizes and inspires communities to speak out about this issue.
