About four times a year, our building partner organizations participate in some shameless self-promotion. Below are just a few of the great things they are doing.
Nebraska Watershed Network (NWN)

Need volunteers? Email OCSR at unoserve@unomaha.edu to connect your organization's service opportunities with interested UNO students. OCSR World AIDS Days of Service start on Thursday, Dec. 1.
Nebraska Shakespeare
Part 2: A Fire Within, will show on Sunday, Nov. 20, at Creighton's Lied Center for the Performing Arts. Tickets are available on the Nebraska Shakespeare website. In addition, Juno's Swans, an all-female ensemble, is a new program from Nebraska Shakespeare. They explore Shakespeare's characters and text through the feminine experience and perspective.

Support and Training for the Evaluation of Programs (STEPS)

UNO Service Learning Academy (SLA)
SLA is seeking 2017 nominations for the Outstanding Faculty and Student Service Learning Awards. These recognize both faculty members and students for their extraordinary efforts in service learning programs. The deadline for award submissions is Friday, Dec. 16. Student Government’s Freshman Leadership Council is participating with Nathan Hale Middle School in the local effort coordinated by Lutheran Family Services to collect clean, gently used blankets and coats for refugee families.

A Time to Heal (ATTH)
ATTH will host The Art of Living with Cancer on Saturday, April 22, 2017. Cancer survivors, caregivers, and medical professionals are invited to register for this conference.
William Brennan Institute for Labor Studies (WBILS)
The 18th Annual Promoting the General Welfare Conference will be held in April 2017. Please watch this space for more information as it becomes available.

Tribal Management and Emergency Services (TMES)
TMES offers certificate degree and minor. TMES offers two academic programs: a concentration within the Bachelor of Science in Emergency Management degree and a minor. Courses are delivered both online and in the classroom, but are primarily delivered online to maximize access by tribal citizens or individuals working with tribal nations throughout the United States.

ONE Omaha
In 2017, ONE Omaha will partner with the City of Omaha to host an "Ask Me Anything Session" with the Mayor. The event is still in the planning stages, so stay tuned, or contact Julie Smith at julie.smith@oneomaha.org.
Inclusive Communities
Their monthly Lozier Omaha Table Talk series programming highlights themes and topics based on trending issues our community is facing. Our quarterly series, Race Dialogues, highlights intersectional identities and experiences impacting people of color.

Volunteer Program Assessment-UNO (VPA-UNO)
On Wednesday, Nov. 30, as part of a workshop series collaboration with the Weitz CEC, VPA-UNO will help UNO and community organizations learn how to create the best volunteer experience.
Nebraska Writers Collective (NWC)
The 2017 Louder Than a Bomb will take place this spring.

As part of the Shirley and Leonard Goldstein Lecture on Human Rights, SPHRS is excited to announce the Enslaved Exhibit will be coming to UNO in the spring of 2017.
