Celebrate Open Access Week with Criss Library | October 24-30, 2016
Open Access Week is an annual international effort to highlight the importance of open access to scholarly information. This year’s theme is “Open in Action,” and encourages authors and researchers to take concrete steps to make their work openly available.
Criss Library is hosting three Open Access / DigitalCommons@UNO Workshops.
- Wednesday, October 26, 2016 from 3-4pm (CL 232)
- Thursday, October 27, 2016 from 3-4pm (CL 232)
- Friday, October 28, 2016 from 12-1pm (CL 232)
The workshop will allow faculty members and students to:
- Learn the benefits of making their work openly available and how to take steps to make past and future publications open access
- Understand how to retain your rights as an author for personal distribution of your works in DigitalCommons@UNO, Research Gate, and social media
- Create a personal SelectedWorks page to highlight your research and track article downloads in real time for promotion and tenure
