Since 2018, late evening usage of Criss Library has declined significantly, and, since 2021, late morning and afternoon usage has increased within the building. This use pattern has changed due in part to more online course offerings and the 24/7 availability of the library’s digital resources. Due to this change in usage and building occupancy, Criss Library will be adjusting its hours to better meet student demand.
Starting on August 26, 2024, we'll be closing at 10:00 P.M. Sunday through Thursday. This adjustment will allow your library team to provide more attentive service during the high traffic afternoon hours. The library will also continue to host extended hours of operations the week before and during finals. We look forward to providing students, faculty, and staff with timely and efficient service this coming fall.
