About Rachael Jensen
Rachael Jensen (she/her)is the Executive Director of Durango’s Advancement & Support Hub (DASH). The mission of this office is to provide support and empowerment using trauma-informed practices for students who have lived foster care or justice experience, have incarcerated parents, or are pregnant/parenting. Rachael received her BS in Human Services from Midland University in 2009 and her graduate degree in Public Health from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2015.
Rachael began her career at UNO in 2016 by building the Office of Youth Safety, an office dedicated to preventing child abuse and enhancing safe spaces and practices for campus-led youth events, such as camps, clinics, and research. In 2020, Rachael co-led the creation of the Office of Health Security, an office designed to handle all things related to COVID-19. In July of 2022, Rachael started constructing OHRS. Rachael was the recipient of the Board of Regents KUDOS Award in 2017, the Employee of the Month in 2021, the Above & Beyond Award in 2021, the UNO Employee of the Year Award in 2022, and the Chancellor’s Medal in 2022.Additional Information
