MavCONNECT consists of several Salesforce products:
- Student Success Hub (current students): Used by academic advisors, financial aid, and learning communities
- Service Cloud (recruitment): Used by Undergraduate Admissions, International Programs, Graduate Studies, Workforce Partnerships and New Student & Family Programs
MavCONNECT Advisory Boards
The MavCONNECT Advisory Boards (SSH and Service Cloud) will consist of system users representing each of the key functional, organizational, and technical areas. These representatives will be users of the system’s data and processes and will have a good understanding of their unit’s interaction with the MavCONNECT system.
The MavCONNECT Advisory Boards will be the first point of contact for any issues/bugs in your area:
- Create and deploy training strategies
- Identify potential enhancements
- Provide user feedback

Who can use Salesforce Student Success Hub?
There are a limited number of licenses available. Currently, only academic advisors, learning community coaches/specialist, financial aid counselors, and some faculty advisors are eligible for a license. If you have any questions, please connect with the MavCONNECT Advisory Board representative in your area.
What are the key features of MavCONNECT?
- Manage/schedule appointments
- Improve engagement between students and their UNO support systems
- Facilitate collaboration and communication among UNO Staff members and students
- Document student's academic journey via notes
- Provide academic guidance to students via success plans

Who do I connect with if I am encountering issues with MavCONNECT?
Each college has an assigned MavCONNECT Advisory Board representative. These individuals serve as the train-the-trainers for their area and the first point of contacts for issues/bugs. A list of those individuals is located near the top of this page.
Can staff/faculty see the MavCONNECT student portal?
Your MavCONNECT representative has access to a MavCONNECT SharePoint where there is a PowerPoint dedicated to the student portal. Please connect with your MavCONNECT representative and request the PowerPoint.
Can I search students using their NUID on MavCONNECT?
Student scan be searched using their NUID, Name, Email, and Phone number.
Why am I unable to see the chatter posts on the student's advising case record in MavCONNECT?
Chatter posts created on the contact record are only visible under the activity section of the student's contact record. Chatter posts created on the advising case record are only visible under the activity section of the student's advising case record.
Do the emails that are sent out from MavCONNECT address the student using the student's legal or chosen name?
Emails that are sent out from MavCONNECT addresses the student using their chosen name.
Is the Student Portal accessible to all students?
Only students that are term activated can access the Student Portal. Newly admitted students who are not term activated will not be able to access the Student Portal until term activation.
Why is SSH requiring me to put in appointment length for all the topics, including the ones that I don't advise for?
Initially there must be appointment lengths for all topics, but students will still only see the topics you select in your recurring availability.
Can I select "All" topics while creating a recurring availability in SSH?
No, it is required to be as granular as possible and specify the topics that you will be advising for while creating recurring availabilities.
