Samantha Salvatori joins the International Programs team as International Recruitment Coordinator. In this role, she serves as the primary point of contact for all prospective and incoming international students.
Prior to joining UNO, Samantha served as a Fulbright grantee in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic. As an English Teaching Assistant, she taught English language, American culture, and professional development workshops to university students, professors, and staff.
Samantha has professional experience in Nonprofit Development and Fundraising, Program Management, and Communications. She began her career as an AmeriCorps VISTA servicemember working at a local refugee resettlement agency and went on to create and lead a federally-funded financial literacy program for refugees and new Americans.
Samantha graduated from UNO in December 2020 with a Bachelor of Multidisciplinary Studies – Political Science, with a minor in Nonprofit Management. As a student, she interned with the U.S. Department of State and worked in the Office of Graduate Studies. She was awarded the Chancellor’s Award for Academic Excellence, Dean’s Award, and was a member of Alpha Sigma Lambda honor society.
When not working, you can find her roaming the public library for her next favorite book and volunteering with refugees and immigrants throughout the community. She serves as Board Secretary for the Nebraska Afghan Community Center and Co-Chair for World Refugee Day Omaha.
