Biography
Val McPherson has been a certified Gallup Entrepreneur Acceleration System (EAS) Mentor and Guide since 2011. During the first two years of this pilot program he worked with 21 small and medium sized businesses and organizations in Nebraska to leverage the power of Gallup’s behavioral economics to help them grow and prosper.
Val participated in Gallup’s Accelerated Strengths Coaching and Coaching Entrepreneurial Strengths courses receiving his Certificate of Completion for both.
Over the past 12 years, Val has helped host several hundred international visitors from dozens of different countries. These visitors are the guests of the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Congress, the U.S. Department of Defense, and several other governmental and non-governmental organizations.
When Omaha, Nebraska, is selected as a destination by one of these organizations, he arranges all of their professional, social and cultural appointments to compliment the theme and objectives of their program. He also coordinates all of their lodging and transportation arrangements.
From August of 2012 to August of 2014, Val has been a Discussion Class Partner for the International Professional Development (IPD) program at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO). He currently serves as a Mentor to one of the participants during each of the five sessions that are held during the academic year.
Val has been a Director on several for profit and nonprofit boards and is currently serving on five. They are Allied Realty, Inc., Omaha Sister Cities Association (OSCA), the South Omaha Business Association (SOBA), the Kiwanis Club of Omaha, Inc. and the Midtown Business Association (MBA). He is currently the Vice President of the Kiwanis Club of Omaha, Inc. and is a past President of the MBA and the OSCA.
