Consul General Guillaume Lacroix to Visit UNO and UNMC
The Consul General of France in Chicago, Guillaume Lacroix, will visit UNO and UNMC to learn about higher education in Nebraska and meet with students.

Guillaume Lacroix, the Consul General of France in Chicago, plans to visit the University of Nebraska at Omaha and University of Nebraska Medical Center on Monday, February 12.
All students, faculty, and staff are invited to attend his presentation on French Diplomatic Relations and the Role of the Consul General from 3:00-4:00pm in the Milo Bail Student Center Chancellors Room.
The highlight of the visit will be to meet with students, faculty, and staff with a French connection, including faculty in the Foreign Langagues departments, international students from France, and student who have studied abroad in France.
He will also tour both university campuses and learn more about the programs, services, and research unique to each institution, including the Buffet Cancer Center, Biomechanics Lab, and Barbara Weitz Community Engagement Center.
Consul General Lacroix was appointed to his position in August of 2017 and has an extensive diplomatic career, having served at the Department of African and Indian Ocean Affairs in Paris, the French Embassy in Washington, and as the Counsellor for African Affairs in the cabinets of French Foreign Affairs Ministers Laurent Fabius and Jean-Marc Ayrault.
