International Program’s International Professional Development (IPD) offers an intensive eight-week course, focusing on professional English and leadership for internationals from both abroad and from our own community. The internationals attend coursework to facilitate their ability to be successful in our global community. Coursework combines leadership, business skills and culture, enhancing language, and provides opportunities to meet with business and community leaders and organizations each week to enhance their understanding of U.S. business practices.
As a key component of the program, the trainees choose a professional topic from their area of expertise and build toward a 15 minute capstone presentation to a large audience. We invite you to participate with us as part of our audience. You will not only be able to meet our international participants, but learn from their topic research, ask questions, and provide valuable feedback to the speakers.
The presentations will take place on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018 from 9 A.M. - Noon in MBSC, 3rd floor Dodge Room.
Presentation topics are as follows:
- Osteoarthritis
- Thinking About Prejudice
- Poverty Reduction in Afghanistan through Crop Varieties
- Six Sigma
- Improving our Environment through Better Recycling
- The Potential of Integrated Resorts
- Korean Feminism
- Build Self-discipline in Your Life
