The Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) Institute is eager to welcome 21 young leaders from 11 Southeast Asian countries to UNO on March 6. The YSEALI Fellows are part of an Academic Fellowship that develops leadership skills, through a civic engagement lens. The program also provides experiential learning opportunities to meet with community leaders, learn about civic work in the U.S., engage with local community organizations, while also visiting historical and cultural sites. UNO will welcome three groups of YSEALI Fellows during 2023.
Since 2015, International Programs has hosted the YSEALI Institute on Civic Engagement at UNO. This program has involved many units across campus and evolved over the years to adopt a hybrid program to ensure program continuity during the pandemic.
