About Aliyah
Aliyah Sanders (formerly Joseph) was born and raised in North Little Rock, Arkansas. She is a 2018 graduate of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, where she received a Bachelor of Science in health education and promotion.
During her time on campus, she was a student leader, mentor for the university’s African American Female Initiative, co-founded the university’s first gospel choir student organization, and became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
Additionally, she was selected to be a student intern for The Clinton Foundation at the William J. Clinton Presidential Library and Museum, where she met President Bill Clinton.
Aliyah is a very outgoing, caring, and personable person whose desire is to help her students in any way that she can. Her favorite part about being an Academic Advisor is encouraging and helping her students discover their passions and reach their goals.
She is dedicated to listening to the needs of her students and being a resource in their graduation journey, and finds it very rewarding! Aliyah enjoys serving with her church, her community, and her sorority.
She loves connecting with new people. Aliyah enjoys volunteering, singing, creating graphic design, binge-watching Netflix/Hulu, spending time with family and creating content on social media.
