How can the U.S. intelligence community receive consistent, updated and relevant training to prevent terrorism?
Training and Education Research and Implementation Strategies for Homeland Security Intelligence Community: Training with Technology
Objective/Purpose
This project is designed to evaluate and improve current intelligence training and education practices by providing rigorous and consistent standards for the DHS workforce. In particular, Year 2 of the project focuses on improving technology training.
Methodology
This project uses a mixed methods approach (i.e., qualitative information from interviews and quantitative information from survey results and educational reports). The team will conduct a benchmarking study to assess current standards and best practices across the intelligence community and private sector, compare the results to DHS’ internal practices, and develop relevant recommendations to improve DHS’ performance in the cyber domain.
