Originally from Chile, Andy is a trilingual (English, Spanish, Portuguese) business consultant in the Nebraska Small Business Development Center (SBDC) program at the Nebraska Business Development Center (NBDC). Andy helps entrepreneurs and small business owners from Omaha, mentoring them through all stages of the business development process.
He has experience in public services, like housing programs in the Social Security System, tourism, emergencies, and project management for local City Halls; strategical advisory for a deputy of the Congress of the Republic of Chile; and water access management for the Chilean Municipalities Association.
Andy also has experience as an entrepreneur for 14 years. He has his own local consultancy enterprise, and is the founder and executive director of Chilean NGO Somos Agua, leading research and projects toward water scarcity in agricultural, forestry, and water areas. His strength is strategic planning and business model design aimed towards innovation, collaboration, user experience, and sustainability.
