National SBDC Program
The national SBDC Program is the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA’s) largest matching grant-funded program providing quality service to the small business community. There are 63 SBDC networks — one in each state (four in Texas and six in California), the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, Guam and American Samoa. The SBDC Program links the resources of Federal, state and local governments with the resources of the educational community and the private sector to assist small businesses. The SBDC program delivers professional, high quality, individualized business advising and technical assistance to existing small businesses and pre-venture entrepreneurs.
National Association
All SBDC programs are part of nationwide network called America’s SBDC (ASBDC). The mission of the ASBDC is “to represent the collective interest of our members by promoting, informing, supporting and continuously improving the SBDC network.” The ASBDC provides a vehicle for continuous improvement of the SBDC program, exchange of information amongst members, and advocacy of America's small business community.
