National Security Studies Academics and the Deterrence Lab Ecosystem
Although the Deterrence Lab does not have its own degree program, we do collaborate with interdisciplinary national security studies programs within the University of Nebraska system. These programs provide knowledge of global security and the theory and analytical skills necessary for working with global security studies issues. Students interested in national security issues, security-related job opportunities, or a desire to have a set of analytical skills relevant to global issues will benefit from these programs and working at our lab.

This certificate can be earned completely online.
UNO Cybersecurity Studies Program
Cybersecurity is a critical field that stands at the forefront of protecting our increasingly digital society. The Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity program equips students with the essential skills to design, develop, manage, and secure information systems. The modern world is made up of vast data exchanges and internet-connected systems with many kinds of private and confidential information on them. Our students learn to think like an adversary to ethically hack systems to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
