This week's Throwback Thursday photo features a photo of "University of Omaha" hockey players in 1947.

UNO is now less than one year away from its first official hockey game at the new UNO Community Arena. The Mavericks will take on Air Force in the history-making game.

The 205,000 square foot facility will not only enhance the visibility of the UNO campus, but it will also provide great benefit, both economically and socially, to the Omaha metropolitan area.
