MavForensics to Hold Fiesta Dinner to Raise Funds

OMAHA - MavForensics, the University of Nebraska at Omaha’s competitive speech team, will hold its third annual Forensics Fiesta dinner and silent auction on Thursday, April 30.
Forensics Fiesta will take place from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Security National Bank community room, 101st and Pacific Streets.
The fundraiser will benefit MavForensics with proceeds covering competition travel, professional development opportunities and community service projects.
MavForensics, a nationally competitive speech program, has been ranked in the top 10 for the past six years and recently earned a fifth place finish at this year's American Forensics Association tournment, including a individual national champion and two second-place finishers.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $12 for students and can be purchased at the door or reserved in advance by emailing Abbie Syrek at abbiesyrek@gmail.com.
