OMAHA – Friday night, more than 7,500 people will come home to Baxter Arena for the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) hockey team’s first home game at the new facility.
Fans can take advantage of many parking options throughout the area, all just a short five-minute walk away from Baxter Arena.
At 5 p.m. Friday, open parking will be available across UNO’s Pacific Campus: in front of Mammel Hall, the Peter Kiewit Institute and Scott Conference Center. Starting at 4 p.m., Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska will open its parking garage to the public.
This map shows the lots which will be open for parking, including lots 2, 4, 5, 6 and 9 on Pacific Campus. Baxter Arena’s lots 25 and 26 will be open for visitor parking. Traveling fans in RVs are asked to park in lot 5, near Mammel Hall.
UNO Parking Services will have event parking signage in front of these lots and the electronic sign in front of Baxter Arena will be updated to include additional parking opportunities.
Limited shuttle service to Baxter Arena will be available, with one route connecting Lot 26 to the Pacific Campus lots mentioned above and a second route linking Lot 26 to the Eppley Administration Building and the Durham Science Center on Dodge Campus.
