Sheila Leahy Toys for Tots Coming to Baxter Arena Nov. 28

The annual Toys for Tots campaign moves to Baxter Arena Saturday, Nov. 28, during the UNO hockey series finale against Ohio State. U.S. Marines Corps members will be present to accept new, unwrapped toys and/or monetary donations. Gates open at 6 p.m.

The program has been renamed the Sheila Leahy Toys for Tots to honor the director of the campaign which began in 1997 when UNO hockey debuted at the Omaha Civic Auditorium. Sheila, wife of UNO hockey color commentator Terry Leahy, lost her battle against cancer last spring.

Fans and UNO students are encouraged to help make this the best drive in UNO hockey history.
