OMAHA – Just back from Afghanistan and Pakistan, University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) Director of International Studies Dr. Patrick McNamara shared his experience as a speaker at TEDxOmaha 2015.
McNamara and others from UNO were in the countries facilitating meetings between government officials and water scientists.
It has been predicted that water rights will be the cause of conflict in the 21st century. But could water instead be the source of peace?Watch Dr. McNamara's speech here:
Like the global conferences they are affiliated with, TEDx events allow local communities to explore ideas worth spreading. TEDxUNO will take place on February 13, 2016 at Strauss Performing Arts Center. The theme is "Breaking Through."
