Handling Employee Pay for Campus Closing on Jan. 13
The University of Nebraska Omaha has declared a one-day closing period for Jan. 13, 2016. ONLY previously designated staff (essential personnel) will be required to report to work. The following facilities and services will remain open and operate at normal hours:
- Bookstore
- Child Care Center
- Community Engagement Center
- Criss Library
- Food options, including Student Center Food Court, Library Cafe, MavRec Cafe and Scott Dining Hall
- HPER Building
- KVNO
- Scott Dining Hall
- Testing Center
Regular Employees
Employee pay, for those in these units during this time period, will be handled as follows:
- Regular employees with Wednesday work schedules will be paid Administrative Leave in lieu of hours worked for Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2016.
- Regular employees (either monthly or biweekly) with impacted work schedules will be paid Administrative Leave in lieu of vacation or sick leave for their respective work schedule.
Previously Designated Staff (essential personnel)
Employees previously designated as essential personnel “must” check with their department to verify they qualify as essential personnel for Jan. 13, 2016. Hourly essential personnel employees will be paid administrative leave, and in addition, will be paid for any hours worked.
