Room Renewal and Room Selection Information for University Housing Students

Students who would like to return to University Housing on the Dodge Campus for the 2016-2017 school year must complete the necessary steps.

Students living in Maverick Village or University Village have the following options:

RENEW WITH ONE OR MORE DESIRED ROOMMATES

A “Returning Student Roommate Request Form” will be emailed to students on Friday, January 22, 2016. Students renewing with desired roommates will receive priority. To receive priority, roommates MUST fill out one form together and return it to University Housing by Friday, January 29, 2016. Forms after this deadline will not be accepted. All roommate requests are subject to space availability and are never guaranteed. ALL roommates MUST attend ONE room renewal night to secure housing for the 2016-2017 school year on the Dodge Campus.

The room renewal nights are scheduled as follows:

• Tuesday, Feb. 2nd | 7:00pm-9:00pm | Maverick Village Clubhouse – FREE pizza & soda provided
• Wednesday, Feb. 3rd | 7:00pm-9:00pm | University Village Clubhouse – FREE pizza & soda provided

Please remember, only one person per group needs to fill out this form and return it to University Housing, so it’s a good idea for students to identify that person now.

MOVE TO A DIFFERENT VILLAGE

Students can do this by logging into MavLINK account now, and completing the application for next year. This requires a new $260 deposit that is paid online when the application is submitted. Applications without the deposit will not be processed. The deadline to apply is Friday, February 26th. Students applying after this date will not be given preference and will be placed with ALL incoming student applications.

Please note: even if a student plans to renew with roommates, and the student does not currently live in the desired village, they still need to go online and complete the housing application by or on the renewal night they plan to attend.

RENEW CURRENT SPACE

Students can do this by attending ONE of two Room Renewal Nights; they may attend either night regardless of where they currently live. Please remember, students renewing with roommates will receive priority.

If a student cannot attend one of the renewal nights, they can log into their MavLINK account and renew their space online any time between Feb. 2nd-Feb.5th. More directions will follow. If a student is the only one to renew in their apartment, it is possible they may be moved to accommodate new students entering on-campus housing.

IMPORTANT INFO: If a student lives in one of the following buildings/rooms in a themed or living learning community mentioned below, and are not eligible or do not wish to be part of the designated community, they will NOT be able to renew their current room.

Maverick Village:

• Building A – ROTC students only
• Building M – first year Honors students only
• Building R – Wellness Themed Community only
• Building V – TLC students only

University Village:

• Building 1 – TLC students only
• Building 3 High – Global Themed Community only
• Building 5 Low – Service Themed Community only

If a student currently lives in one of the spaces listed above and wants to return to housing, they MUST attend the Special Room Selection Night:
