Kirchner Begins New Role as Assoc. Vice Chancellor of Business and Finance

Starting today, Monday, April 4, Carol Kirchner will serve as UNO's Associate Vice Chancellor for Business & Finance.
Kirchner, a Certified Public Accountant, has been the Assistant Vice Chancellor & Director of Finance since 2014. Her promotion follows the retirement of Joe Huebner on April 1.
Kirchner joined UNO in 2014 after 20 years of service at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) where she held several positions including Controller, Director of Accounting and Business Systems and Internal Audit Manager.
Prior to joining UNMC in 1995, Kirchner worked as an auditor for the Nebraska Auditor of Public Accounts. She is a UNO alum, earning an MBA at UNO in 1999 and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1991.
