OLLAS Participated in Boys Town Speaker Series with UNO Undergrad Admissions

On Wednesday, April 20, the UNO Office of Latino/Latin American Studies (OLLAS) participated in the Boys Town South Omaha Office Community Speaker Series along with the UNO Office of Undergraduate Admissions. The bilingual event was entitled “Education After High School Pays Off.”

Other collaborators were Metropolitan Community College and the True Potential Fund. OLLAS and Admissions staff, Yuriko Doku, Mariela Bahena, and Herbert Meriño-Ponce spoke to an audience of 30 Latino parents and students about the benefits of accessing educational opportunities beyond high school, specifically at UNO.
