The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) announced that it has partnered with ABODO to launch a new Off-Campus Housing (OCH) listing service. The new site (offcampushousinglistings.unomaha.edu) features all the property listings and sublets that were previously available through OCH, but now includes a modern, mobile-friendly design, and updated property listings.
Omaha property managers can also benefit from improved branding, high-res images, video tours, 3D apartment models, and direct integration with their property management software to enable simpler, real-time updating of listings.
“Helping students transition from residence halls to off-campus housing is a critical part of the services that we offer, and we’ve been looking at ways that we could make this transition easier," Director of University Housing at UNO, Trenton Fredericksen said.
“We examined our options and after reviewing the ABODO service, it was clear that their platform was the best solution for our students and the rental properties in our community," Fredericksen said.
The new off-campus housing site includes apartments and houses for rent, as well as sublets to help students find vacant rooms. Property listings include detailed property and unit-level information, including images, videos, floorplans, current pricing, and availability based on the university’s academic calendar. The new site is also fully mobile-responsive and allows students to call or email their favorite properties from any device.
“We started ABODO after experiencing the pain of searching for an off-campus apartment in Madison, Wisconsin. We knew that college towns faced a unique challenge when it comes to helping students find a rental and we knew there had to be a better way,” ABODO’s Founder and CEO, Alec Slocum said.
“We’re really excited to be working with the University to make apartment hunting in Omaha easier and we’re looking forward to helping UNO students find a great place to live," Slocum said.
For Omaha property managers, the new site offers enhanced opportunities to attract UNO students, faculty, and staff. The new listings include improved featuring, branding, enhanced high-definition images, video tours, 3D models, as well as optional integration with their chosen management software to ensure that listings are up to date and leasing staff can respond to prospective renters quickly.
