Weitz CEC Shares Impressive Operations Stats

On April 17, 2014, the UNO Barbara Weitz Community Engagement Center (Weitz CEC) celebrated its grand opening. Now, only two years later, the Weitz CEC has demonstrated its value as the university’s signature outreach venue.

Check out these facts and figures about operations at the Weitz CEC since 2014:

• The Weitz CEC has hosted more than 625 unique groups and over 151,000 guests from external community organizations and internal UNO organizations.
• More than 10,000 events have been hosted at the Weitz CEC for the difference makers in our community and on our campus.
• Weitz CEC event participants have taken advantage of more than 45,000 reserved parking stalls in front of the building.
• Thanks to the amenities offered at the Weitz CEC, community organizations have saved more than $4.8 million dollars in room rental and technology fees.
