School of Music Students Advance in National Competition

Congratulations to UNO School of Music students Roni Shelley Perez and Lindsey Ussery, who have advanced to the national semifinals of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) National Student Auditions.

Students who placed in the regional competition were invited to submit a YouTube video to advance to the national semifinals. The top 14 singers in each category were selected from the YouTube video round.

At the national semifinals, the top three singers in each category will advance to the national finals.

The national semifinals and national finals will be held July 9-10, 2016, in Chicago.

Prizes for first, second, and third place total at least $30,000.
