UNO Flag Lowering for Patricia Tavares

The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) flag will be lowered Wednesday, June 15, 2016, for Patricia Tavares, a student who passed away unexpectedly last month.

Patricia was a junior in the College of Arts and Sciences and a student worker at KVNO, an Omaha radio station and broadcast service of UNO. Funeral services were held in Massachusetts.

UNO extends its thoughts and condolences to Patricia's loved ones.

U.S. and Nebraska flags also are lowered June 15, 2016, as a mark of respect for the victims of the act of hatred and terror in Orlando, Florida.
