Dr. Sara Myers Named Assistant Vice Chancellor for Research and Creative Activity
The University of Nebraska Omaha’s Dr. Sara Myers recently was appointed Assistant Vice Chancellor for Research and Creative Activity in the Office of Research and Creative Activity. Sara holds a Bachelor of Science from UNO, a Master of Science from UNO, and a Doctor of Philosophy from UNMC.
Sara began her tenure at UNO in 2005 and since has held the following positions:
- Graduate Teaching and Research Assistant, School of Health, Physical Education and Recreation
- Graduate Research Assistant, School of Health, Physical Education and Recreation
- Cognition and Gait Study Coordinator, School of Health, Physical Education and Recreation
- Peripheral Arterial Disease Study Coordinator, School of Health, Physical Education and Recreation
- Senior Research Associate, School of Health, Physical Education and Recreation
- Assistant Director, Nebraska Biomechanics Core Facility
- Director, Gait Analysis Laboratory, Biomechanics Research Building
- Assistant Professor, Center for Research in Human Movement Variability
- Associate Professor, Center for Research in Human Movement Variability
- Director, Nebraska Biomechanics Core Facility
During her career, Sara has presented at dozens of conferences and published a number of articles focused on peripheral arterial disease, gait variability, and related topics. Sara also has received countless awards and honors for her work. Most recently, she was selected as part of the 2014 class of '40 Under 40' by the Midlands Business Journal. The award honors 40 greater-Omaha area young, dynamic business leaders. Read more here.
