Volunteers from across campus will assist students and their families during each of the move in dates and times.
During move-in, students and family members will receive information about UNO and how to become involved in the on-campus community. One of the first opportunities will be UNO’s signature welcome-back event, Durango Days, which features an exciting lineup of first-week activities.
Just like last year, on-campus housing is at capacity with a waiting list. New facilities are helping meet this high demand.
UNO’s new Scott Crossing, a mixed-use housing facility, is currently under construction and will open in the fall of 2017.
Scott Crossing sits off 67th and Pine Street. It will hold approximately 425 beds and the new Maverick Landing Student Support and Service Center.
Maverick Landing will feature academic and career advising services; individual and group social/study spaces; a coffee bar; a campus guest services counter; an enrollment express office; and more.
Many UNO students are also utilizing the Archdiocese of Omaha’s new St. John Paul II Newman Center. Located at 71st and Pacific, the Newman Center offers housing for 164 students. A shuttle route will link the Newman Center to Pacific Campus and Baxter Arena.
UNO’s fall semester begins Monday, Aug. 22.
