Howard Williams, Custodial Supervisor for the Milo Bail Student Center, recently was named UNO’s Employee of the Month for November.
The “Celebration Committee” team surprised Howard with the news on Friday, November 4, 2016.
Howard was nominated by his peers for his adaptability, interpersonal skills, and knowledge of the job.
They said, “Howard knows how to get things done. During the renovation of the MBSC he was always pleasant, even though the conditions under which he was working were not. During the crush of Durango Days, he bent over backwards to help get activities organized. Anything you need, he tries to find a way to get it for you.”
His peers continued, "Howard was amazingly helpful during both the Success Academy Day on Aug. 18 and the Part-Time Job Fair on Aug. 24, as the MBSC was dealing with grand opening events and location changes due to weather. Howard is always organized, efficient, calm, and courteous. Howard is excellent at his job and sets a great example for the people who work with and for him. UNO is lucky to have Howard Williams!"
As Employee of the Month, Howard will receive a certificate, lapel pin, hot/cold tumbler, portrait, monetary award, two tickets to a UNO sporting event, and use of a designated parking space. Please contact the Office of University Communications (4-2358) for additional details.
