During the month of February, look out for this glass recycling bin in Milo Bail Student Center. The bin will be placed at different locations throughout MBSC near the Maverick Den and the dining areas.
This student-led effort is investigating the possibility to permanently install glass recycling on campus, as well as create sustainability awareness on UNO's campus and housing.
Glass is 100 percent recyclable and can be recycled endlessly without loss in quality or purity. Support this venture by saving your glass beverage containers and drop them off in the designated recycling bin inside of the student center.
For more information on where the bin will be located throughout the month of February, and what can or can't be recycled, visit UNO Sustainability's Facebook page. If you have any questions about the project, please contact Catarina Steenkamp, the student leading the project, at csteenkamp@unomaha.edu.
