UNO Flag Lowering for Michael Hoesing

UNO flag lowered near Pep Bowl

The UNO flag near the Pep Bowl will be lowered Feb. 17, from sunrise to sunset.

The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) flag will be lowered Friday, February 17, 2017, in memory of UNO employee Michael Hoesing.

Michael passed away Friday, February 10, 2017, and was 63 years old at the time of his death. Michael’s service arrangements have been made available in the Omaha World-Herald.

He began working at UNO during the 1980s as a full-time accounting instructor in the College of Business Administration, and returned in 2006 as an adjunct faculty member.

Our thoughts and condolences are with Michael’s loved ones during this difficult time. He is survived by his wife Debra, his sons, and siblings.
