MavRadio and KVNO Win Big at Midwest Broadcast Journalists Association Conference
MavRadio and KVNO-FM recently returned from the Midwest Broadcast Journalists Association (MBJA) conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota. MavRadio and KVNO-FM didn’t come home empty-handed. They won eight awards.
The MBJA awards includes submissions from six states: Nebraska, Iowa, South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. KVNO student reporter Brandon McDermott won six of the awards, two student awards and four professional awards! McDermott has accumulated 20 awards for reporting at KVNO since arriving in June 2011.
