Mental Health Internship Course Accepting Applications for Fall 2017

The UNO Department of Psychology is taking applications for PSYC 4920: Mental Health Internship, a 3 credit hour, semester-long course. The course is designed primarily for juniors and seniors, but is open to all students.
Internships give students the chance to work with real people in the field, gaining invaluable work experience. It integrates the knowledge and theory learned in the classroom with practical application and skill development in a professional setting. Internships also give students the opportunity to make connections in professional fields relevant to a desired career path.
Students from previous semesters gained full-time employment due to their internship experience with the following:

- • Munroe-Myer Autism Care for Toddlers (ATC) Clinic
- • Children’s Square
- • Douglas County Mental Health Diversion Program
